Guidelines

1. Overview

Harrys Racing Series is a community-based competition conducted on the ROUVY indoor cycling platform. Participants compete across a series of Stages, earning points based on their performance. The General Classification (GC) is determined using a participant's best Stage Results throughout the Racing Series.

2. Registration

• Participation in Harrys Racing Series requires registration through the Harrys Racing Series website.
• All participants must hold an active subscription to the ROUVY indoor cycling platform.

3. Racing Series Structure

• Each Harrys Racing Series consists of a fixed number of Stages.
• The total number of Stages will be determined and published before each Racing Series begins.
• Each Stage will consist of one or more races (known as Events within the ROUVY platform).
• The number of races available for each Stage may vary and may be adjusted based on demand.
• Stage results are used to calculate the General Classification (GC).
• Only a participant's best N Stage Results will count towards the GC.
• The value of N will be determined and communicated on Harrys Racing Series website before the Racing Series begins. Typically, N will equal the total number of Stages minus one to three.
• The points schedule for each Racing Series will be published before the first Stage begins.

4. Stages and Races

• Each Stage will take place within a single calendar week.
• All races associated with a Stage will be scheduled during that Stage week.
• All races will be conducted on the ROUVY indoor cycling platform.
• All races are individual time trials and drafting is not permitted.

5. Stage Results

• A participant's Stage Result will be their fastest valid finish time recorded in any race associated with that Stage.
• Stage rankings will be determined by elapsed time, with the fastest participant ranked first.
• Stage rankings will determine points awarded. Points from counting stages will be used to calculate GC rankings.
• Stage results will be published after the completion of each Stage.
• Published Stage results may include:
  • Stage ranking
  • Participant' ROUVY username
  • Finish time
  • Average watts per kilogram (W/kg)
  • Average power (watts)
  • Age category
• Stage results and rankings will be published on the Harrys Racing Series website.

6. General Classification (GC)

• The General Classification is based on points earned in each Stage.
• Points are awarded according to the published points schedule.
• Participants receive points based on their Stage ranking.
• Participants who do not record a valid Stage Result will receive zero points for that Stage.
• Only a participant's highest-scoring N Stage Results will count towards the GC.
• Where a participant completes fewer than N Stages, all completed Stages will count towards the GC.
• GC rankings will be determined by total GC points.

7. Ties

• Participants recording identical Stage finish times shall be considered tied.
• Tied participants shall receive the placing and points associated with the tied position.
• Participants with identical GC points totals shall be considered tied in the General Classification.
• Tied participants in the GC shall share the same GC position.
• Where participants are tied, subsequent positions shall be adjusted accordingly. For example, if two participants tie for 2nd place, both participants shall be ranked 2nd and awarded the points for 2nd place. The next participant shall be ranked 4th and awarded the points for 4th place.
• No additional tie-break criteria shall be applied.
